AVERMEDIA® JOINS eINSTRUCTION™ IN SECOND ANNUAL CLASSROOM MAKEOVER VIDEO CONTEST
AVerMedia to Contribute Three AVerVision CP300 Interactive Document Cameras to eIntruction’s $75,000 Classroom Makeover Prizes

AVerMedia® Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of digital multimedia and presentation technology, announced today their partnership with eInstruction regarding their Second Annual Interactive Classroom Makeover Video Contest. The eInstruction Makeover Contest is designed to recognize teachers and students who effectively and creatively use or would like to use technology in their classroom. Contest participants are asked to produce a short music video parodying a song of their choice while demonstrating how different kinds of technology are or can be used to enhance instruction.

AVerMedia is joining eInstruction with this contest by providing three AVerVision CP300 Interactive Document Cameras to the total prize offering. eInstruction, AVerMedia and a variety of other education technology companies will combine cash, products and services for a $75,000 classroom makeover prize offering. Three classrooms will be awarded for their innovative and effective use of technology. eInstruction will also host a celebration party at each winning school to present the prizes.

Open to primary and secondary teachers and students in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand and Australia, participants are asked to submit their videos on the Interactive Classroom Makeover Contest Website at www.eimakeover.com. Submissions open at 12:00 Midnight, EDT on September 15, 2008 and close at 11:59pm EDT on October 24, 2008. Finalists will be announced on October 31, 2008 with winners announced on December 3, 2008. Grand prizes will be awarded in three grade categories: K-5, 6 – 8, and 9 – 12.
